SCHOOL LEADERSHIP ROLES 2017 -
The opportunities we offer to our Intermediate students were highly praised by the Education Review Office at both of our last inspections. These have continued to develop over the last few years and we are very proud of our achievements. We ensure that all our 'intermediate' level children are offered the very best in opportunities to develop leadership skills. They are asked to take on a role and to develop it themselves. We also offer a structured programme focussing on the development of life skills, careers and becoming a member of the community.
We offer challenge and choice to set them up with vital skills for high school and beyond.

TIME TO BE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN BE AS A LEADER OF ARDGOWAN SCHOOL
As a Y7/8 student there are many opportunities open to you. You have the choice of many leadership roles as well as being part of the Leaders of Tomorrow programme, which involves many sports, camps, life skills and tasks to achieve awards.
If you would like to be part of the LOT programme let Miss French know ASAP. There will be a meeting at the start of term about this and to provide more information.
To apply for a leadership role there are a few things you need to include. We want to know what you have to offer as a leader of the school in terms of skills, attitude, ideas……and how you would be a role model for the other students. Your application can be as a letter, poster, booklet, portfolio with pictures……You choose. The more effort you put in the more chance you have of getting the role you want. Please get your applications to Miss French by the end of week 1, indicating the role you would most like (Assembly, library, sheddies, PALS, whanau)
Enjoy the rest of the holidays and see you soon
